I acquired my first aerobics DVD three years ago, and haven't utilized it since. I don't recollect what it was called - I have since lost it somewhere in the back recesses of my house, and haven't seen it in months, but I do remember a few things about it. It was bright pink, and had some grinning guy in spandex and big curls on the cover, telling you to get fit. I thought that the aerobic DVD would inspire me to get my rear in shape, however it was not to be. Instead, my new aerobic disc just determined to sit in the corner, gathering dust while I sat on the couch, getting fatter and less in shape.
My second exercises video was a step work-out disc, however it fared no better. I believe I did try that precise aerobic video a couple of times, but it was no use. I simply felt so ridiculous sitting there at home, moving along with a workshop on film who weren't even in the room with me, pretending that I was doing something that was not utterly silly. I just could not make it a part of my practice. I had originally scheduled to start each day with the aerobic disc and a bath, but when I would get out of bed in the morning, it was the very last thing that I wanted to do.
I have had three of 4 aerobic discs since that time and, to be honest with you, none of them have worked well at all. It simply is not so fun to do work-out solo in the living room, watching your aerobic disc on the tv. Nothing really happened to get me totally fit from watching the cardio exercise disc. Finally, I had to do what I had been fearing all along; I had to join a gym. When I began to get my work out from work-out classes and not an aerobic disc, it suddenly transformed into so much easier to stick with the program. The lessons got me out of my house, and the people in them were so inspiring, that I just couldn't help myself. Nearly instantaneously, I was hooked on taking work out classes to get in shape. It was like you could not get me away from them. Meanwhile, each aerobic disc I've ever owned quietly gathers dust in the home of a newer, fitter me.
