When it comes to Motivation, Sometimes It's not as Simple as Seeing is Believing it's Doing, Conquering Your Personal Goals Could Just Be a Poster Away!

You may not believe me when I tell you this. I know that if I heard it, I wouldn't probably believe it. Nevertheless, there's nothing that encourages people nearly as much as cardio photos to get fit and in shape. I know how skeptical people are about inspirational pictures. Everyone has seen that trite poster on the walls of their cubicles - some-one climbing a mountain with some caption about "determination", or "excellence" under it, or some little kitty hanging on to the edge of a table with her claws, beneath which is written, in bubbly cutesy letters, "hang on". It's considered very bad taste even to put such thing up - unless you're a middle manager, then of course bad taste is considered avirtue. Nonetheless, at least with aerobic pictures, it's true. The right picture can really get people going.

I should know. I'm a manager at the Skinny Booty Fitness center downtown, and among my various duties is decorating the walls. It has given me a great deal of time to watch people in their workouts, and the differences that those aerobic pics make is amazing. I found this when I was studying to be a fitness trainer and I noticed that the sections in my study guide that had pictures of aerobic people inspired me to push harder. And after becoming a fitness trainer I saw incredible results with my clients in the gym areas that were adorned with fitness pics. Before I put them up, many people seemed to be just drudging painfully through their workout plan, with-out hope of ever accomplishing any fitness goals. Since I put up the aerobic pictures, however, things have been a great deal different. It's like the aerobic pics give everyone a burst of self-confidence that makes them practically shine. I know the glisten of sweat, and can tell it from the gleam of confidence. This here is the gleam of confidence. They look at those aerobic pictures and stand up straighter, work that much harder, and I believe, go home feeling better about themselves. Even the aerobic exercise classes seem to go better with the photos around the room.

I have even taken down my other motivational posters and put up the aerobic pictures around my cubicle in the fitness club. Even when I'm not working out, the pictures of fit, trim people doing their aerobics workout plan seems to convince me to put just a bit more into what-ever I'm working on at the minute. You don't need to be interested in a career in personal training to take advantage of this post. There are many kinds of decorations which are prettier, more interesting, and more eye-catching than cardio pictures, but I've yet to find one that has a greater effect on the work ethic. And is not that the most important thing of all?
